On a global scale, the Asia-Pacific region is a center of activity for the shipping and logistics industry. According to ResearchandMarkets.com, the Asia-Pacific (APAC) Contract Logistics market accounted for $80,963,700 in revenue in 2017. It is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 4.6% from 2018 to 2025, which will generate $126,102,900 of revenue in the US in 2025.
As a global organization, Blume recognizes the importance of the APAC region to our business, our customers and partners, and to the supply chain industry as a whole. To help Blume grow its presence in this market, the company recently welcomed Dr. Mark Yong as Managing Director for the APAC region. In this role, Mark will support Blume customers as well as continue to develop Blume Global’s presence in the APAC shipping and port communities.
Mark joins our customer success team from the BMT Group where he was instrumental in the growth of the BMT services portfolio. He also worked with teams to win high profile projects in APAC. He will leverage his experience partnering with customers across APAC to further support Blume Global’s customers.
As home to several of the world’s largest manufacturers (particularly in electronics), APAC plays a critical role in the supply chain. At Blume, we recognize the importance of providing our customers around the world with the latest innovations designed to help them create a vibrant supply chain ecosystem that is collaborative, purposeful and focused on real value creation. We are thrilled with the expertise Mark brings to Blume to support our global strategic efforts and help Blume, our partners, and customers optimize their supply chain.
